Apr 30, 2021

The Ram 1500 pickup truck has the power to tow heavy loads, whether it’s for work or play, the equipment to get any job done, and the tech features to make any ride fun. For the 2021 model year, Ram added a new TRX model powered by the Hellcat engine. The latest Ram also has some new optional equipment, including a fully digital mirror, a new head-up display, and a feature that will control the steering when you’re backing up to a trailer. Check out these four reasons the Ram 1500 is perfect for work or play.

  1. There’s a Model for Everything

Whether you need a basic work truck, a family hauler, or a smooth commuter, the Ram 1500 has a model that will get the job done. The Tradesman is the basic work truck. It has automatic headlights, and 18-inch wheels, and power door locks. The Big Horn adds some more convenience features such as a manual sliding rear window and the option for heated and power-adjustable side mirrors. The Rebel will effortlessly take you off-road. It adds LED lighting, upgraded shocks, and an off-road suspension.

For more luxury features, choose the Laramie. It comes standard with the power-adjustable and heated mirrors, or you can bump up to the Longhorn, which has side steps, a power tailgate release, a spray-in bed liner, and lighting in the bed.

  1. The Capabilities

When you need to tow and haul, the Ram 1500 has the power to get it done. When equipped with the V-8 engine with eTorque, the 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds. Choose the V-6 gas engine, and it can tow up to 7,730 pounds and carry up to 2,300 pounds in the bed.

You can even use the Ram to commute to work. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine with the eTorque mild-hybrid system will get up to 20 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg in the city.

  1. The Comfortable Cabin

The ride in the Ram 1500 is comfortable whether you are working or driving for pleasure. Cloth upholstery comes standard in the lower trims along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel starting with the Big Horn. Bumping up to the Laramie adds features such as leather upholstery, driver’s seat memory settings, upgraded materials in the cabin, and heated and ventilated front seats. The Limited adds premium leather upholstery for the bucket seats, and it has power-deployable running boards that deploy when you open the door.

  1. The Safety Features

You can feel confident when towing since every Ram 1500 comes with trailer sway control. You’ll also get a rearview camera with every trim. If you bump up to the Longhorn, it has front and rear parking sensors, while the Limited trim adds a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert. Ram makes additional safety features available, including a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection. Depending on the trim, you can also get lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and rear automatic braking.

With the many different models and features available, the Ram 1500 is perfect for work and play.
