The Infotainment System

A new 10.1-inch touch screen arrived for the 2021 model year, along with the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system. It processes commands five times faster than the Uconnect 4 system, provides better visibility and connectivity, and the updated Uconnect 5 comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SiriusXM with 360L is an available option with over 200 channels and personalized content. You can also get a Wi-Fi hot spot and Amazon Alexa. The new FamCam camera allows the driver to see everyone in the vehicle with the best-in-class HD picture. It has automatic day and night modes and a split-screen option so you can see all the kids at once. There is even a camera angle that provides a view of a rear-facing infant seat. If you need a closer look, the system allows the driver to zoom in on the seat and your child’s face. New parents can see if their child lost their pacifier or if they have spit up, so they know when they need to stop. This camera system comes standard in the new high-end Pinnacle trim level and is available as an option for the Limited.

 

Uconnect Theater

The new Uconnect Theater feature is perfect for families headed out on a road trip. It has 10-inch HD touchscreens in the back of the front-row seats, and the system works with many different types of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and game consoles. Rear-seat passengers can watch movies, play their video games, or surf the internet. When you plug your device into Uconnect Theater, it will charge your device as you play, and the system includes several USB ports for the second and third row along with high-definition link charging ports.

 

The Safety Technology

Every 2021 Pacifica comes with several driver-assist tech features. These include adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert with mitigation, a lane-departure warning system with lane-keep assist, and a feature that warns the driver when someone is in their blind spot. It also comes with rear-cross path detection. The Pinnacle adds a 360-degree surround-view camera system, an automated parking system that will steer the Pacifica into a parking spot with almost no driver intervention, and parking sensors with automatic braking.
