Blue Ribbon Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Whether you need to haul heavy loads or tow large trailers, the 2024 RAM 2500 can provide the muscle for most tasks. The automaker offers all trim levels with a wealth of performance and comfort features for every driver and purpose.

2024 RAM 2500 Basics

RAM designed its 2500 truck with heavy-duty tasks in mind and equipped it with two powerful engines. Most trim levels come standard with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 gas engine that produces 410 horsepower, 429 lb-ft of torque, and a maximum towing capacity of 17,730 lbs. Available optionally on most trims and standard on the Limited and Limited Longhorn models, a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel engine can enhance the truck’s performance.

This engine produces 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque for a towing capacity of 19,900 lbs. With so much power, the RAM 2500 can tow large trailers and haul heavy loads.

Numerous Configuration Options

One-size-fits-all trucks don’t exist, which is why RAM offers most trims in various cab, box, and drivetrain configurations. The Tradesman, Big Horn, and Laramie models can be had with 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains. Depending on the trim level, drivers can pick between Regular, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab options with a 6.4-foot or 8-foot bed.

The Limited and Limited Longhorn trims come exclusively in 4×4 drive but can be had in a Crew Cab or Mega Cab configuration, each with a 6.4-foot bed. Designed specifically for the off-road, the Rebel and Power Wagon trims are offered exclusively with 4×4 drivetrains and in Crew Cab style with a 6.4-foot box.

Outstanding Towing Technology

No matter what you need to tow, the exclusive technology in the RAM 2500 can enhance trailering control and safety. For instance, the base trim comes standard with telescopic trailer tow mirrors that can be extended and retracted as needed for more flexibility when navigating crowded areas. A 7-pin wiring harness and a Class V receiver hitch are other standard highlights.

Higher trims come with more standard features, including gas-charged shocks and coil rear suspensions. Surround-view cameras and trailer reverse steering control are available on all trim levels.

An Enjoyable Ride

Beyond power and towing capability, all RAM 2500 trims boast comfortable cabins with a capacity of three to six passengers depending on the cab style and interior configuration. Heavy-duty vinyl seats come standard on the Tradesman trim, and cloth-trimmed seats are available optionally. RAM offers cloth or leather-trimmed seats in the higher trims.

Entertainment comes in the form of a Uconnect 3 or Uconnect 5 infotainment system, depending on the trim. All options include voice commands, connected services, and RAM’s Global Telematics Box Module.
