Blue Ribbon Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Apr 9, 2021

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has a bold yet modern exterior look and offers some of the best off-road capabilities you’ll find in a mid-size SUV. For 2021, there’s a new L model with three rows of seats. The lineup will also have a new 80th Anniversary Edition, and two new Laredo sub-trims arrive with many of the Limited’s features and equipment. Check out the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Trim Levels

The 2021 Grand Cherokee trim levels start with the Laredo E, and the Laredo X. These have 18-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights, halogen headlights, and all-season tires. The Limited adds an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror, a sunroof, and a power liftgate. Step up to the Trailhawk for unique 18-inch wheels, skid plates, an off-road suspension, and upgraded engine cooling. The Overland is up next with 20-inch wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and xenon headlights, while the Summit adds to this with active noise cancellation.

The Grand Cherokee SRT comes with a Bilstein adaptive suspension, Brembo brakes, and it has a limited-slip differential. At the top of the lineup, the Trackhawk shares most of the SRT’s features but adds a stronger engine and comes with a sport exhaust with quad exhaust tips and an ultra-high-performance suspension.

The Power

There is no shortage of power for the Grand Cherokee. The base engine is an excellent 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine with 295 horsepower, but if this isn’t enough for you, Jeep offers the Limited, Overland, Summit, and Trailhawk with a 5.7-liter V-8 that puts out 360 horsepower. The SRT comes exclusively with a 6.4-liter V-8 that generates 475 horsepower, and the Trackhawk has a supercharged 6.2-iter V-8 that delivers a massive 707 horsepower.

Rear-wheel drive comes standard with the Laredo, Overland, and Summit models, but you can get the optional all-wheel-drive system. The Trailhawk, SRT, and Trackhawk come standard with one of Jeep’s four-wheel-drive systems.

The Technology

A 7-inch touch screen comes in the base Laredo trim, which also has two USB ports, a six-speaker stereo system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 8.4-inch touch screen is one of the upgrades you get with the Laredo X. This system uses the Uconnect infotainment system with navigation and HD radio. The Limited adds a Wi-Fi hot spot and satellite radio, and bumping up to the upscale Summit model gets you a 19-speaker Harmon Kardon stereo system.

The Safety Features

Safety is always important when you hit the road and when you head off the road. The Grand Cherokee comes standard with a rearview camera, a blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. A few bumps up in the lineup to the Overland will get you rain-sensing windshield wipers and HID headlights with automatic high beams, or to the Summit, which adds adaptive cruise control, a forward-collision warning system with mitigation, lane-departure warning, and a hands-free parallel parking assist feature.

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee has everything you need for a road trip or an off-road adventure. Inside, it has comfortable seats and tech features for safety and entertainment.
