Each May, the city of Sallisaw puts on an incredible festival complete with food and entertainment. Throughout the weekend-long festival, they host live music and carnival rides along with arts and crafts, and a live barbeque competition. Located at 2301 West Ruth Street, the event features a classic and modern car show along with a morning 5k run or walk.
3. A Ride on the Wild Side Bike Tour
Hosted by the Kingsville Noon Lions, this bicycle tour features three routes for different riding levels, making it the perfect activity for any family. The tour begins at the corner of Highway 59 South and Highway 141. 4. Brushy Lake Park
This city park, located at Highway 17 Route 3, is the perfect destination for fishing, camping, and boating. They also have camping sites for RV’s, complete with electric and water hook-ups along with bathroom and shower stations.
5. Kids Fishing Derby
Located at the end of Hastings Younger Lake Road, this fun fishing derby is a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Prizes will be awarded to the participant with the biggest fish and the participant with the most caught fish. Food will be provided in addition to drinks. Be sure to come fully prepared with your fishing rod and plenty of supplies to ensure your catch is in the running for a prize!
