There’s nothing like a flavorful cup of freshly brewed coffee. When you’re out and about town and need a pick-me-up, consider a visit to one of these local coffee shops.

1. The Artistic Bean

Just a short drive from Sallisaw to Fort Smith, you’ll find The Artistic Bean serving a variety of organic espressos including flavored macchiato, cappuccino, latte, Americano, frappes, and rich house brewed coffee. Along with hot or iced coffee, enjoy breakfast favorites such as fluffy biscuits, croissants, French toast, pastries, or a full breakfast plate. The lunch menu offers tasty soup choices — veggie, beef, ham — chicken wraps, assorted sandwiches, nachos, loaded chili cheese fries,  and pepperoni pizza Panini.

2. Sweet Bay Coffee Co.

Whether you want a cup of hot and steaming coffee or an iced latte, visit Sweet Bay Coffee Co. The menu offers many flavors — hot, iced, or frozen. Enjoy a regular brew, signature mochas, and espresso specialties plus hot or iced tea, blended chai black tea with spices, and hot chocolate. Cold drinks are on the menu, too, such as Vietnamese French coffee, cappuccino shakes, and Italian cream sodas.

The food menu will please your taste buds with assorted flatbread pizzas, creamy grilled cheese sandwiches from the all-American on buttered Panini bread to the pepperoni melt with five cheeses, pepperoni, and marinara sauce. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

3. Moka Joe’s Coffee and Cafe

Start your day off just right with a visit to Moka Joe’s Coffee and Cafe. The coffee shop has a little something for everyone, beginning with fresh cups of specialty coffee, espresso, and tea selections. Add to your beverage a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, croissant, granola, or yogurt parfait. If you visit at lunchtime, choose a daily combo with a sandwich, wrap, or salad. Assorted muffins and cream cheese Danish are the perfect accompaniment if you just want a cup of coffee. The cafe also offers free Wi-Fi.

Stop by Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

4. Fort Smith Coffee Co.

When you want beans roasted just right, then make your way to the Fort Smith Coffee Co. open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The inviting artisan shop offers specialty coffees like maple pecan, butterbeer, and pumpkin spice lattes, double shot espressos, iced or frozen chai tea, and Italian soda. The food menu is tasty with assorted pastries, bruschetta with goat cheese, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, quiche, and crepes.
