The battery has the vital role of providing the power that starts your engine. A battery contains various chemicals, and the chemical reactions produced inside the battery allow it to store electricity and recharge. These reactions, however, will eventually destroy the battery. Sulfuric acid, one of the most important chemicals in the battery, gradually breaks down and releases hydrogen gas. This gas escapes the battery and can cause corrosion on the battery terminals. If the converter is blocked, exhaust gases will be forced back into your engine. Worn Oil Pump

The flow of oil also helps to reduce the temperature in the engine. The oil clears dirt and other debris in your engine by collecting it and depositing it in the oil filter.
