Brushy Lake Park

The first stop on our lake tour is located within town limits. You can rent the pavilion, located at 101564 S 4614 Rd, or a campsite. There’s also a large playground, perfect for kids. Pets are also allowed anywhere within the park.

You can rent these locations for eight days at a time or just come visit for the day. Whether or not you choose to camp, you can access their lighted boat ramp and their boating and fishing docks. Don’t forget to load your bikes in the ample cargo space area of your Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk so the whole family can take advantage of the lake’s bike trails.

Lake Eufaula

About an hour outside of Sallisaw, you’ll find this beautiful lake town. With over 800 miles of shoreline and over 105,000 acres of water, you’ll never run out of fun things to do on and off the water. Spend the day fishing for crappie and bass, grab some food from one of the marinas, or build a sandcastle on the beach.

You can stay for a while if you want to. They have plenty of options, from campsites to luxury yurts and RV hookups. Make sure to visit one of their great local restaurants for dinner before you head home. Visit their Tourist Information Center at 851 N. Main St for full information.

Lake Fayetteville

It’s worth crossing over to Arkansas to visit this beautiful lake, located at 1330 E. Lake Fayetteville Rd. They offer something for everyone who loves the outdoors. Whether you prefer to fish, play some disc golf, visit the veteran’s memorial park, or want to rent a boat or a bike, you’ll never run out of things to see and do.

They also have a beautiful botanical garden located down the road at 4703 N. Crossover Rd. If you’d rather spend your time closer to the lake, consider hiking their 5.5-mile nature trail, which takes you all around the lake itself. If you brought or rented a bike, you can also take the 4.3-mile hard-surface trail, designed for both bikers and hikers.
