3. Sequoyah State Park

Sitting on the eastern shores of Fort Gibson Lake and about 57 miles northwest of Sallisaw, Sequoyah State Park is another fantastic spot for boaters and water sports enthusiasts. Spanning an area of about 2,200 acres, this place was established in 1948 and welcomes 275,000 visitors each year from all over the country. Some of the facilities available in this nature reserve include boat launches, hiking trails, a marina, and a golf course.
