Diamond Daze Festival

The Diamond Daze Festival is an annual outdoor event hosted at Sallisaw High School. Residents and visitors come together to enjoy warm weather, delicious food, and live entertainment. Some of the top country music groups are among the live performers you can dance to. Other entertainment includes the Battle of the Bands, a 5k run, helicopter rides, the High Steaks grilling contest, a car show, and arts and crafts vendors. This event has fun for guests of all ages, including the thrill of various carnival rides perfect for both adults and children.

Sallisaw Cruise Night and Burnout Contest

Join Sallisaw’s auto enthusiasts for a car show and burnout contest in the downtown area. Guests are welcome to set up their lawn chairs and ice coolers so they can relax and hang out during the evening of events. You’re welcome to take your own vehicle for a cruise along the strip as you admire the hot rides and customized cars around you.

Independence Day Celebration

On the 4th of July, the community of Sallisaw gathers together to celebrate the red, white, and blue. The Independence Day Celebration is held at Sallisaw High School. Attendees can enjoy food, games, and fireworks that light up the night sky. Be sure to wear your favorite patriotic gear and get ready to celebrate the U.S.A.

Annual Lion’s Club IPRA Rodeo

As summer starts to draw to an end, the Lions Club keeps the fun going with their annual rodeo event. Over 5,000 people come to watch this rodeo showcase of the country’s most elite athletes in rodeo competition. During this event, you see cowboys and cowgirls compete in a series of events, including bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and bull riding.

There are also some more light-hearted events, such as mutton bustin’, wild cow milking, and a calf scramble. Guests can also enjoy an annual parade with upbeat Western music you can dance to. Rodeo clowns are also there to entertain the crowd and keep the rodeo contestants safe.

Dusk ‘Til Dawn Blues Festival

Cap off the end of summer by making a special trip to the Dusk ‘Til Dawn Blues Festival. Over the course of three days and nights, famous blues acts perform on three indoor and outdoor stages. Bring the family to enjoy a kid’s village with age-appropriate arts and music activities. Oklahoma has a unique blues heritage, and you’re sure to enjoy celebrating it this summer.
