But the available Hands-Free Active Driving Assist System takes this to new levels, with hands-free lane centering and adaptive cruise control on approved highways. Sensors in the steering wheel and a driver monitoring camera even trigger an alert if the driver’s attention begins to wander.
4. Night Vision Built In
One of the biggest risks drivers take is getting behind the wheel at night, when pedestrians and animals can seemingly come out of nowhere. But Jeep took a surprising, high-tech approach to nighttime safety with an available night-vision display right on the driver’s instrument cluster. The system uses thermographic technology and infrared sensors to keep an eye out for pedestrians and animals up to 328 feet in front of the car and highlighting their position, helping everyone get home safely.
5. Information Galore
In the 2024 Grand Cherokee, the driver is in control. The 10.25-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display on the instrument panel allows not just monitoring of vehicle status, but puts navigational information directly in the line-of-sight of the driver. The available 10-inch, full-color Head-Up Display can feed vehicle speed, following distance, turn-by-turn directions and more onto the windshield, meaning that there’s no need to even look down.
The three-row Grand Cherokee L line also offers an available rear-seat camera, letting drivers and front passengers keep an eye on kids, cargo, and pets in the back rows.
