Exploring the Versatile 2024 Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass might be marketed and priced as a subcompact SUV, but it comes with all the makings of a compact SUV, making it an excellent choice for those who want power, capability, and space in a compact package without having to be limited to the typically underpowered subcompact options. The 2024 Jeep Compass refines all the attributes that make it the class leader in its category. more Class-Leading Power and Performance The Jeep Compass is one of the most powerful subcompact SUVs out there, coming with a hefty 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine paired to a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. The punchy engine produces an impressive 200 HP and 221 lb-ft of torque, allowing for impressive stats such a zero to 60 time of only 7 seconds and a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. And despite packing all that juice, it boasts a remarkable EPA rating of only 32 MPG on the highway. The Compass also comes with all-wheel drive as standard to allow you to take this brute off-road, unlike most of its competitors. And despite being rugged, the 2024 Compass handles like a dream, thanks to its nicely weighted and exceptionally responsive rack-and-pinion steering system, which makes you feel one with the road. Has an Off-Road Special The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is specially tuned for ultra-rugged terrain driving, coming with exclusive features such as an advanced 4x4 system, skid plates for underbody protection, a raised suspension, and all-terrain tires. The advanced 4x4 system features technologies such as the Selec-Terrain traction management system, which adjusts engine performance, torque distribution, and shift patterns to ensure optimal traction settings for each terrain, a 20:1 low "crawler" gear ratio to provide maximum control and torque for navigating steep inclines and rocky terrain with ease, hill descent control to ensure a smooth descent by intuitively adjusting the throttle, speed, and brakes, as well as axle articulation to enhance wheel travel for next-level rock-crawling capabilities. Spacious and Comfy Interior The biggest advantage of the sleek, boxy design of the Jeep Compass is the tremendous amount of passenger and cargo space it is able to create despite its shorter wheelbase. With up to 100 cubic feet of passenger volume, no one will be complaining about insufficient head, shoulder, or legroom inside the Compass. Moreover, its 27.2 cubic feet of cargo room, which expands to 59.8 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down, can accommodate all your gear for a weekend getaway or haul larger items with ease. Keeping Your Chrysler Running Smoothly: Essential Maintenance Checklist

Cars have long life spans, but you need to take yours to the Chrysler dealer for some essential maintenance services to maximize its longevity. Your car also needs this regular Chrysler maintenance to perform at its best. There are lots of different services that your car needs regularly and semi-regularly, but below, we're going to talk about some of the ones that need the most frequently. more Oil Changes Chrysler vehicles should have their oil changed anywhere between every 5,000 miles and 20,000 miles, depending on the type of oil used in the vehicle. It's very common for modern cars to need their oil changed at least once a year, after every 7,500 to 10,000 miles you drive. Check your owner's manual and talk to your dealer about how often your specific Chrysler model needs to get its oil replaced. Making sure fresh motor oil is always running through your engine helps prevent unnecessary wear and tear on the engine's parts. When these parts are lubricated, they work as they should, they don't wear down too quickly, and you won't experience any decreased engine performance due to issues with your oil. Tire Rotations Tire rotations are another service you'll need to stop by the dealer to get frequently. How regularly you need to get your tires rotated varies depending on what Chrysler model you drive. Usually, it's every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. If you drive an all-wheel drive model, then you'll need your tires rotated more often. When the tires are rotated regularly, the tread wears down evenly. As a result, your tires last longer, and you'll experience smoother rides. Wheel alignments are also vital for making sure your tread wears down evenly, and always replace your tires when you notice they don't have much tread left. Wear-and-Tear Parts Replacements Your tires aren't the only part of your car that wears down. Belts, hoses, and wires wear down over time, so they need to be replaced. Fluids other than oil in your car need to be drained and replaced regularly, and your car has several filters such as the air filter and fuel filter that need to be replaced, too. All of these components can be changed during a tune-up as necessary, so make sure you stop by the dealer at least once a year for an inspection. Visit Blue Ribbon Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM in Sallisaw, OK on a regular basis to get the maintenance mentioned above. We're open from 8 AM to 6:30 PM Monday to Thursday and 8 AM to 6 PM on Friday and Saturday, so we have hours that should suit everybody.

What to Know About Your RAM's Towing Capabilities

RAM trucks are powerful workhorses that move thousands of pounds with ease. Curt Manufacturing defines towing capabilities as the total weight your vehicle can safely tow when pulling a trailer. Every RAM model has been approved to tow up to a specific weight, but the exact figure will vary based on the vehicle's overall weight, including the number of passengers onboard. Learn everything you need to know about your truck's towing abilities from your local RAM dealer. more Towing Capacity Varies by Engine and Model Not all RAM trucks are designed to tow the same weight. For example, the latest RAM 1500s can tow anywhere from 6,330 lbs. on the base Limited Longhorn to 12,750 lbs when fitted with the class-exclusive 5.7L HEMI V8 engine. If you own a RAM, the towing capacity is listed in your owner's manual or on the manufacturer's website. When buying a RAM truck, consider how much towing capacity you'll need to do the job. Compare the weight of your trailer and equipment to the truck's tow rating. If the trailer's total weight is under the vehicle's towing capacity, it is safe to haul. When you visit Blue Ribbon Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, our team of experienced salespeople will answer all your questions about hauling so you can find the right truck for your needs. Weigh Before You Haul The towing capacity depends on several factors, including the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), which measures the total allowable weight of the vehicle before the trailer is attached. The GVWR also refers to how much the trailer can safely weigh. You should also calculate the gross combined weight rating (GCWR), which is the total allowable weight of the vehicle with the trailer attached. This measures the entire load of everything being transported. Each axle also comes with a gross weight rating known as the gross axle weight rating (GAWR), the total weight that can be safely placed on the front and rear axle. Calculate the weight of your cargo and passengers to ensure you remain within the GVWR, GCWR, and GAWRs. Aftermarket Equipment Can Affect Towing Capacity Your truck's towing capacity isn't set in stone. Adding aftermarket parts that change the vehicle's mechanics can affect the weight rating. If you bought a used truck, review the vehicle's service history to see how towing capacity may have been affected. Your RAM was built to tow heavy loads across long distances, but each model has specific weight ratings that every driver should know. Vehicle maintenance, aftermarket parts, hauling gear, and engine upgrades will affect how much you can haul. 5 Advanced Technologies in the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Here's a glimpse at some of our favorite features. more 1. Copilot Controls The single biggest threat to families on the road today is distracted drivers. With this in mind, Jeep has added a class-exclusive available front passenger screen, allowing the passenger to pick destinations and send directions to the driver's display. That means the driver can focus on doing one thing: driving. 2. In-Seat Amazon Fire TV Leveraging in-vehicle Wi-Fi and data services, the optional Amazon Fire TV package includes the ability for each passenger to stream videos, listen to music, and play games during the trip. Programs can be downloaded to prevent disruptions in low-coverage areas, That's great news for families, who can now offer each passenger an individualized road trip experience and settle disputes about what to watch or listen to. 3. But the available Hands-Free Active Driving Assist System takes this to new levels, with hands-free lane centering and adaptive cruise control on approved highways. Sensors in the steering wheel and a driver monitoring camera even trigger an alert if the driver's attention begins to wander. 4. Night Vision Built In One of the biggest risks drivers take is getting behind the wheel at night, when pedestrians and animals can seemingly come out of nowhere. But Jeep took a surprising, high-tech approach to nighttime safety with an available night-vision display right on the driver's instrument cluster. The system uses thermographic technology and infrared sensors to keep an eye out for pedestrians and animals up to 328 feet in front of the car and highlighting their position, helping everyone get home safely. 5. Information Galore In the 2024 Grand Cherokee, the driver is in control. The 10.25-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display on the instrument panel allows not just monitoring of vehicle status, but puts navigational information directly in the line-of-sight of the driver. The available 10-inch, full-color Head-Up Display can feed vehicle speed, following distance, turn-by-turn directions and more onto the windshield, meaning that there's no need to even look down. The three-row Grand Cherokee L line also offers an available rear-seat camera, letting drivers and front passengers keep an eye on kids, cargo, and pets in the back rows. How to Jump Start Your Jeep in 5 Easy Steps

Every driver needs to know how to jump-start a car, as it's often easier and faster to do this yourself than to wait for help. As your Jeep dealer, we'd like to tell you the easy steps to jump a battery. In the example below, your Jeep will have a good battery and will be used to jump the other vehicle's battery. more Locate the Battery Before you can start, it's important to know where the battery is in the other vehicle. The battery is often under the hood, but some vehicles have the battery in the trunk. Once you've found it, check the position of the battery terminals. Most batteries have the positive terminal on the left as you face the battery, and the negative terminal is on the right. They are usually marked with "+" and "-" signs to distinguish them. The positive terminal might also have a red cover. Get in Position Now you know where the battery is, position your Jeep so its battery is as close as possible to the other vehicle's battery. The jumper cables have metal clamps that allow them to connect to the battery terminals. The closer you park, the less chance there is that a clamp could slip off. If the clamps are not securely connected, recharging won't work. Connect Jumper Cables The cables must be connected in the correct order, and red and black cables must never touch each other if they're connected. If the cables touch, they could damage your battery or even start a fire. Jumper cables have a red cable and a black cable. The red cable is positive, and the black cable is negative. Connect one side of the red cable to the positive terminal on the dead battery, then connect the other side of the cable to the positive terminal on your battery. Take one end of the black cable and connect it to the negative terminal on your battery, then connect the other side of the black cable to any unpolished surface in the other vehicle's engine compartment. Check all the clamps to make sure they are securely attached. Jump the Battery Turn on your engine and allow it to idle for a few minutes, then try and start the other vehicle. If it doesn't start immediately, return to your Jeep and allow it to idle for several more minutes. Disconnect the Cables Once the other engine is running, you can disconnect the cables. Remove the cables in reverse order, starting with the black cable attached to the unpolished metal surface in the other vehicle's engine.
