1. Blue Ribbon Diner

Are you a fan of old-fashioned diners and friendly service? Then, head over to the Blue Ribbon Diner located on West Cherokee Avenue. This diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Their breakfast sandwiches include egg sandwiches served on Texas toast and sausage biscuit sandwiches. A wide variety of lunch sandwiches are available including grilled cheese, patty melts, Philly steak, Reuben, and old-fashioned cheeseburgers. While here, be sure to try the local favorite open-faced roast beef sandwich.

The Blue Ribbon Diner has a kids’ menu for little ones and is open on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and every other day at 6 a.m.

2. Aromas Coffee Shop

Family-owned Aromas Coffee Shop has been serving up delicious hand-made sandwiches, coffee, and treats for 20 years. On your visit here, try their ever-popular house-made chicken salad sandwich served on a croissant. They also offer Italian Panini, house-made tuna salad, turkey club, and chicken Caesar sandwiches. Homemade soups, chili, stuffed baked potatoes, and salads are also available. You can finish off your meal with a sweet treat and hot coffee.

Aromas Coffee Shop is located on West Mentzer Avenue and is open weekdays and Saturdays at 7 a.m. The coffee shop also offers dine-in, carry-out, and drive-thru pickup.

3, Wildhorse Mountain BBQ

It may look humble from the outside, but the Wildhorse Mountain BBQ always provides its customers with delicious beef barbeque, smoked bologna, pulled pork, and hotlink sandwiches. Every sandwich is served with Wildhorse’s nearly famous homemade barbeque beans. You can enjoy your meal in Wildhorse’s dining area or take your meal to go. The Wildhorse Mountain BBQ is located 2.7 miles south of Interstate 40, at Sallisaw Exit 308.

The restaurant starts serving barbecue at 10 a.m. every day.

4. The Wolf at Tenkiller

A quick 15-minute drive will take you to The Wolf at Tenkiller in Vian. Located on east 965, the Wolf is known for offering fine food at equally amazing prices. This restaurant has been family-owned and operated for more than 25 years. Every menu item here is cooked to order so that it’s hot and fresh every time. The Wolf menu includes a wide variety of sandwiches including Philly cheesesteaks, turkey clubs, and grilled/fried chicken sandwiches. The most famous sandwich at the restaurant is their burger.

Every one of their burgers is made by hand, cooked to order, and features your choice of toppings. If you visit the Wolf, be sure to try the local-favorite Leroy burger. The Leroy is a huge burger topped with five different kinds of cheese and bacon. Also, all sandwiches here include hand-cut fries or house-made chips. The Wolf is open every day, except Monday, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
